Overview
Guided castle tours have been taking place since the 19th century.
“Learn about history by experiencing it”. This has been the motto for our topic tour program since 2001.
This motto reflects a wide variety of tours, which give visitors the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the history of the castle and with the Hohenzollern family.
Topic tours are in German only at this time.
Topic and regular tours may be booked for groups. Reservations are binding. Reservations may be cancelled without charge up to 2 workdays before the tour. Failure to show up will result in a charge of the full amount of the entrance fees. The given lengths of each tour are approximate.

Opening hours
November - February: 10.00 am to 3.30 pm
March - April: 9.30 am to 4.30 pm
May - October: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
Open daily except Shrove Tuesday, December 24, 25, 31 and January 1. The castle may only be viewed with a guided tour. The given lengths of each tour are approximate.
Topic tours may be booked for groups of 15 or more.
